[message type="custom" width="100%" start_color="#FFFFFF" end_color="#FBF8FF" border ="non" color=""]Fellow blogger Rich Polanco, from UnwireMe.com, contacted me last week about participating in "The Next Big Thing" networking event.  He's a fellow traveler who is working on a guidebook for those who want to move to Antigua, Guatemala (you can read more about it here). He asked me to share if I had any projects in the pipeline. [/message]

What is the working title of your 'Next Big Thing'?

I actually have a few projects in the works - writing the story of  our travels for the past five plus years; compiling a book on education/worldschooling; orchestrating a 'blog tour' for our book.

But the biggest and most exciting is creating our newest resource - the Fund Your Lifestyle Academy (now How to Fund Travel)

Where did the idea come from for the project?

Throughout our travels, and on our blog, one of the most often asked questions we receive is 'How do you fund your lifestyle?" It's a question that we wondered for a long time and searched desperately for an answer.

Also throughout our travels we've constantly met people who are doing it - living an amazing life, and they've found the way to pay for it.

So we're taking the most often asked question and interrogating the dozens of people we know doing it to discover the answers.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your project?

We're bringing you the people who have and are funding their dream lifestyles, so you can get the answers you need to find the funding for YOUR dream.

How will your project be made available?

We will be conducting three interviews per month with three different families or individuals, and will have them available in our Academy. Each interview is about one hour long and if you have additional questions you'd like answered, you'll be able to send them in and receive answers - with additional follow-up interviews if necessary.

What type of people are you interviewing in your project?

We're interviewing families and individuals we have met throughout our travels - people that are living amazing lives.

One family recently moved to Cozumel; another flew into Germany and toured Europe, before they head to Thailand. Another family is touring the U.S. and Canada in their RV. One guy is emptying his posh San Francisco apartment and taking off for the Philippines.

Some are backpackers, living on less than $1000 a month and staying in hostels; others rent luxurious houses and make five figure monthly incomes - there's multiple levels and ways for funding a life of travel and living abroad, and we'll be sharing them all with you.

Who or What inspired you to create this project?

Our biggest inspiration came from the dozens of emails we receive asking for our help - "How do I create the funding to live a lifestyle like this?"

We know how badly we wanted to find the answer during our years of searching... and we finally did. Now we want to help YOU find your answer, by providing specific answers - the nuts and bolts, the MEAT.

What else about your project might pique the audiences interest?

We know that many of you are stuck in the cubicle nation and don't have the opportunity to interact with people who are funding their dream in 'out of the box' ways. You can't travel the world and meet them and hear their stories.

So we want to bring them to you!

That's what Fund Your Lifestyle Academy is all about. Please watch this video to learn more (we recorded it above Lake Atitlan).

Great video. Your bright personalities shine forth and I wish you all the best. I look forward to learning more. I agree with you also, the more we travel the more people we find who are doing it.

It’s a great plan you guys have hear.  Just hearing from others who have “done it” builds so much confidence, but with this academy we also get the facts and details – GREAT!

Thanks so much for tagging us for this project.  We all need a Next Big Thing – thanks for the push!
