Our family of seven is embarking on an epic overlanding expedition -- driving from Alaska to Argentina on a two continent tour of North and South America.

Since we started traveling in 2007, it has become a major source of joy, fulfillment and adventure. We're addicted to travel... and my husband is just a little bit excited about it (as you can see in the video)!

Our first 'rodeo' was a road trip from Utah to Costa Rica, with four children all under the age of four, where we lived for a year (we visited Panama as well).

After living in the U.S. again in 2008-2009, we bought one-way tickets to the Dominican Republic. We enjoyed six months of white sandy beaches and coconut groves. It was heaven!

Next we spent six months in Atlanta, Georgia before taking a position with a non-profit organization working with the leprosy affected in Southern India. What an experience that was!

But when we discovered we were expecting number five, we returned to Georgia, and then drove to Alaska. Atlas Denning joined our family there in 2010.

Now we're ready to set out our on adventures once more, this time undertaking anย epic adventure -- driving from Alaska to Argentina with our five children!

Just wondering did you do this whole trip on veg oil. I to am embarking on an adventure down to GUatemala and would like to do it all on Veg oil.
Looking for any tips or places to stop along the way to fuel up ๐Ÿ™‚

The majority of this trip we did do on veggie. Sometimes we’ve had to pay for veggie, or buy diesel. But most of it was on waste veggie we collected for free. It can be hard to find sometimes. You have to be willing to ‘wait around’ while a restaurant collects it for you, as many simply throw it out or down the drain. But it can be done.
